  • Amoebic dysentery is spread through contaminated food and water. Chief complaints are fever, blood in stools, cramping. Amoebiasis is treated by metronidazole, diloxanide furoate.
  • Malaria is spread by female Anopheles mosquito. Prominent symptoms are fever with chills, sweating. Malaria is treated by chloroquine, artemisinin.
