Here is your answer:

The Deccan Plateau lies to the south of the Vindhya and Satpura ranges.
It is bound by hills on the west and east. The western hills are called as Western Ghats and the eastern hills are called the Eastern Ghats.
Western Ghats have many hills including the Satmala, Nilgiri, Anaimalai and the Cardamom hills. Anai Mudi is the highest peak in South India which is 2,695m.
