Answer:
Ferrous sulphate is green in colour. On heating, the green crystals are converted into a dirty-yellow anhydrous solid as it loses water of crystallization. When further heated, the anhydrous material releases sulphur dioxide and sulphur trioxide leaving a reddish-brown iron oxide. 2 FeSO4 → Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3.

Answer:
the reaction is called Thermal decomposition reaction.
Decomposition reaction is the reaction where one complex substance or a compound breaks down into two or more simpler substances by the mean of external energy.
Types of decomposition reaction:
- Thermal Decomposition reaction: Decomposition reaction by the mean of heat energy. CaCO3 → CaO + CO2.
- Electrolytic decomposition reaction: Decomposition reaction by the mean of electrical energy. H2O → H2 +O2
- photo decomposition reaction: Decomposition reaction by the mean of light energy. HBr→ H2 +Br2
