answer :- Potassium iodide

explanation :- when we add potassium iodide solution to ice - cold bezenediazonium chloride solution, nitrogen gas is out from the solution of bezenediazonium and we get oily droplet compound iodobenzene.

see figure, this is the simple reaction between the diazonium ions present in the benzenediazonium chloride solution and the iodide ions from potassium iodide e.g., KI solution.

Potassium iodide is the reagent which is useful for the process of conversion of benzenediazonium chloride to iodobenzene.

EXPLANATION:

Benzenedizonium chloride is a compound which is organic in nature with the formula C_{6} H_{5} N_{2} C l

It’s a salt of diazonium cation and chloride. Iodobenzene is an aryl halide which is called halogenarenes.

Cold potassium iodide is reacted with cold benzenediazonium chloride to give tiny oily droplets of iodobenzene and nitrogen gas.
