Ans :- It really depends on the type of current that is generated.
- For instance if the current is induced then we use fleming's right hand thumb rule.
- If a force is acting on the conductor then we use Fleming's left hand rule.
- And if you are already given the direction of magnetiseiwc field ( anti clockwise or clockwise)then, we will use right hand thumb rule.
I am assuming that you are asked to
tell the direction of current through
a conductor in which direction of
magnetic field
is already given to you.So, you can
use Maxwell's right hand thumb
rule.
