sulphur is soluble in carbon disulphide CS2 but carbon is not..
when CS2 is added to a mixture of sulphur and carbon, sulphur will dissolve.
then filter the mixture.

Sulphur is soluble in a solvent called sulphur disulphide CS2. Carbon is not soluble in CS2

Method - Add the mixture to CS2. The sulphur will dissolve
Filter to remove the carbon - dry the filter paper and recover the carbon
Collect the filtrate containing the sulphur - evaporate the CS2 away and recover the dry sulphur.

hope this helps plzz mark as the best if this helped.
