"Xylem is the water conducting tissue in plants.
The different parts of the xylem vessel are as follows:
• Tracheids
• Trachea
• Xylem parenchyma
• Xylem fibers
The stain Phloroglucinol is used to stain the xylem vessel and they appear reddish orange in color after the application of this particular stain and one can easily locate them and even distinguish them from the phloem vessels as phloem always remains unstained.
