Answer: (i) Nagaland (ii) Lakshadweep is the union territory having minimum forest cover. Since Lakshadweep consists only of coral islands, they have- no proper soil for growing of forests except for coconut trees.

MP has largest area under forest cover, Jammu & Kashmir (371 sq. km.) and Himachal Pradesh (334 sq km). In terms of area, Madhya Pradesh has the largest forest cover in the country followed by Arunachal Pradesh,

Haryana with lowest forest and tree cover India. In 2017, Haryana had the lowest forest cover with respect to total geographical area in India at 6.79 percent. Trailing closely behind was the state of Punjab with 6.87 percent tree cover. Both Haryana and Punjab are located in the northern part of India.
