Respiratory zone Comprises the respiratory bronchioles which have alveoli budding from their walls, the alveolar ducts which are completely lined with alveoli. This zone is also called the acinus which is thefunctional unit of the lung.

Alveoli is the structural and functional unit of lungs.

It basically passes teh oxygen through the stream of the blood.

It pumps to the heart and then to other parts of the body.

In addition to this, it even helps in exchanging of the gases.

They are very much advantageous to our respiratory unit, and thereby important for the entire body to function.
