ammonuim is a sublimable substance, I mean, it directly converts into gas(from solid). Heat the mixture. inversely put funnel.ammonuim undergo sublimation and sticks to the funnel.so that's separated.

b) nitrogen from air.
air is a homogenous mixture and can be seperated into it's components by fractional distillation.
