Not only solids and liquids, but also vapour can exist together with them. At exactly 273.16 K (0.01 °C; 32.02 °F) with a partial vapor pressure of 611.657 pascals this phenomenon takes place.

Melting Point is the temperature at which solid and liquid states of matter co exist.
For example :
Ice melts at 0°C to form liquid water so the melting point of ice is 0° .
At melting point , the temperature remains constant till complete ice turns into liquid.
Hence at 0°C both the state of matter co exist that is solid and liquid.
