Answer. Three main social groups of Eighteenth century of France were -
- First Estate ( Clergy)
- This Estate constituted of Priests. This Estate was exempted from paying taxes.
- Second Estate (Nobility)
- This Estate constituted of the Kings and the royal family and the ministers. This Estate was exempted from paying taxes as well.
- Third Estate
- This Estate constituted of middle class people such as lawyers, peasants, philosophers etc. Only this Estate had to pay taxes.
