The three major functional region of cell are (1) Nucleus (2) Mitochondria and (3) Ribosomes.
1. Nucleus controls the activities of the cell. Even synthesis, repair and recombination of DNA and formation of RNA by transcription takes place inside nucleus.
2. Mitochondria the power house of the cell produces ATP , the energy currency of the cell. Also Krebs cycle and ETS takes place in mitochondria.
3. Ribosomes present freely or on RER helps in translation of RNA into functional protein. The functional protein then determines the action of the cell.
