name the three parts of an atom describe each one
Answers
Answer:
With the exception of hydrogen, all atoms have three main parts. The parts of an atom are protons, electrons, and neutrons. A proton is positively charged and is located in the center or nucleus of the atom.

The three parts of atom are:
1)Protons:A proton is one of three main particles that make up the atom. Protons are found in the nucleus of the atom. This is a tiny, dense region at the center of the atom. Protons have a positive electrical charge of one (+1) and a mass of 1 atomic mass unit (amu), which is about 1.67×10−27 kilograms.
2)Neutron: A neutron is a sub-atomic particle with no net electrostatic charge, with a very similar mass to a proton. Neutrons are thought to comprise of one up quark of charge +2/3 and two down quarks of charge -1/3 each, resulting in a net charge of zero. Neutrons are present in almost all atomic nuclei except for Hydrogen.
3)Electron:An electron is a subatomic particles that orbit the nucleus of an atom. They are generally negative in charge and are much smaller than the nucleus of the atom.
