There are three states of matter namely solid, liquid and gas. Solid state : In this state, the molecules are arranged in regular and repeating pattern. The molecules are closely packed that means they are fixed and vibrate in place but they can not move from one place to another.

THREE STATES OF MATTER ARE :

1. SOLID - In this state molecules are packed very tightly with very less molecular spaces between them.

Ex- Wood , Paper etc...

2. LIQUID - In this state molecules are packed less tightly than solid state and are loosely packed and have more molecular spaces .

Ex - Water , Juice etc...

3. GAS - In this state molecules are very loosely packed and have high molecular spaces .

Ex- Air and noble gases
