The three states of matter are Solid , Liquid and Gas.

1.Shape and Volume

solid- Fixed shape and volume.

liquid- No fixed shape but has volume.

gas-Neither definite shape nor volume.

2.Energy

solid -Lowest

liquid -Medium

gas- Highest

3.Compressibility

solid- Difficult

liquid - Nearly difficult

gas-Easy

Hope it helped uh..

Three states of matter are:-

1. Solid
2.Liquid
3.Gas

\underline\bold{Differentiate:-}

\bold{Solid:-}

●Solid have definite shape and size.

●Solid have high density.

●Diffusion rate is least in solids.

●They are rigid and don't flow.

●They are not compressible.

●The intermolecular force of attraction between the particles of solids is very strong.

●Example:- Chair, Stone, rubber band etc.

\bold{Liquid:-}

●Do not have definite shape and size.

●The density is less than solids.

●They shows less diffusion.

●They have tendency to flow.

●They are less compressible.

●The intermolecular force of attraction between the pprticles of liquid is weak.

●Example:- Water, Milk, Ink, kerosene etc.

\bold{Gas:-}

●Do not have definite shape and size.

●They have least density.

●Rate of diffusion is very high.

●Have the tendency to flow.

●They are highly compressible.

●The intermolecular force of attraction between the particles of gas is negligible.

●Example:- LPG , CNG , oxygen etc.

Harman7727: particle
Harman7727: Liquids have definite volume but not have definite size.it takes the position of the container in which it is placed
kidu90: Its wrong
Harman7727: Really (then just check your chemistry book)
