The Third estate of French society had to pay these taxes-

1. Thithe- It was levied by the church and they were obliged to pay it otherwise they did not have work to do

2. Taille-It was the governmental tax which only levied by them.

3. Indirect taxes - They pay some more money on everyday expenditure like salt, tobacco etc.
