Convergent Plate Movement:
Convergent Plate Movement is identified when two plates collide into each other at their margins or boundaries. Crusts usually change in size, which results from this type of movement. The results differ, depending upon what types of plates are involved.
Two Continental Plates: Mountain ranges are created.
- Two Oceanic Plates:one may be pushed under the other and magma from the mantle rises, creating volcanoes.
- Oceanic Plate and Continental Plate: The oceanic plate is forced under the continental plate; this phenomenon is called subtructing
