Adipose is the tissue present between the internal organs. It's functions are-
- It stores the fat in body and helps to provide us energy.
- It acts as a natural thermal insulator in our body. It helps in reducing the loss of body heat.
- It has a protective function  and wraps around some major organs and protect the organs during any physical injury.

Adipose is a loose connective tissue that fills up space between organs and tissues and provides structural and metabolic support.
1) Serves as a fat reservoir. 2) Provides shape to the limbs and the body. 3) Keeps visceral organs in position. It forms shock-absorbing cushions .
