Collenchyma is responsible for the flexibility in plants.
Parenchyma provides support to plants and also stores food whereas sclerenchyma makes the plant hard and stift.
But, Collenchyma allows easy bending in various parts of a plant without breaking.

There are two types of permanent tissue.. one is simple permanent tissue and another one is complex permanent tissue.
The tissue responsible for the flexibility in plants is one of the simple permanent tissue. That is COLLENCHYMA.
collenchyma allows easy bending of leaves and stems without breaking. That's why we r able to bend leaves and tender stems.
Other types of simple permanent tissue are parenchyma and sclerenchyma.
Parenchyma stores food and provide stiffness to the plant and sclerenchyma is made up of dead cells.. hence, give me support to the plants.
Xylem and phloem are the types of complex permanent tissue. And their main function is transportation of different materials from one part to another part of a plant.
