Answer:

An insect does not have a vascular system, its blood only caries nutrients and is contained in its body cavity. There is one large blood vessel which runs from tail to head and has one valve per segment, it serves as a heart by transporting freshly enriched blood from the region around the gut towards the head, the blood then flows back from the head through the thorax feeding the muscles on the way and back to the gut. Oxygen is provided by air flowing through tiny branched tubes called trachea which reach every part of the body. Each segment of the insect has two spiracles, one on each side and as the insect moves air is drawn in through the spiracles and flows through the trachea. In this way every cell of the body receives food and oxygen.

Answer:

Acid rain results when sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. The SO2 and NOX react with water, oxygen and other chemicals to form sulfuric and nitric acids. These then mix with water and other materials before falling to the ground.
