Hypo Chloric acid, oxidation number of chlorine atom is +3

Chloric acid ,oxidation number of chlorine atom is +5

Perchloric acid ,oxidation number of chlorine atom is +7

The halogen forms oxoacids due to presence of empty d-orbital (not in fluorine )due to which they show odd number of oxidation states which differ by number 2.
