Explanation:

1. South East trade winds and North East trade winds converge at the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ.

2. The features of burst of monsoon are as follows:-

 Around the time of arrival of monsoon in the normal rainfall increases suddenly and continues constantly for many days this is called as the ‘burst’ of monsoon.

 It can be distinguished from pre monsoon showers.

3. A characteristic feature of the cold winter season over the northern plains is the inflow of cyclonic disturbances from the West and Northwest. These low pressure systems originate over the Mediterranean sea and Western Asia and move into India along with the westerly flow. They cause the much-needed winter rains over the northern plains and snowfall in the mountains.
