In this root, there is the main root that is straight dug in the soil and some are the branches in this root called Lateral root. This type of roots has reticulate venation type leaves. Fibrous root: In this root, there is the absence of the main root and it has the only lateral root.

Two types of venation are reticulate venation and parallel venation. Reticulate venation involves net-like pattern of arrangement of veins. Most of the angiosperms with two cotyledons in the seed exhibit reticulate venation. e.g. Rose, Maple, Tulsi, Hibiscus, Red gram etc. Parallel venation involves smaller veins running parallel to each other
