✪ Two types of unemployment that prevail in rural India are :-

• Seasonal Unemployment
• Disguised Unemployment

(Question) What is Seasonal Umployment ?

• This type of Unemployment occurs when people are not able to find work for some months means they are employed for some months only.
• It is generally found in those people who are mostly dependent on Agriculture.

(Question) What is Disguised Unemployment ?

• It is type of employment in which people appear to be employed but they are not actually not employed.
• Mostly in Agriculture, Some people's of family are employed but rest of them are need also to be employed.

✪ Factors that are responsible for this unemployment :-

(1) Increase in Population :-

• In India Population is crossing all bounds. As the population increases, their will be the more need of employment. But is lack of guarantee to get employment in rural areas.

(2) Illiteracy:-

• In Rural India, Most of the people are uneducated due to lack of school and Colleges. Because of that People remains uneducated and they they didn't know what is going on.

(3) Totally Depending of Agriculture:-

• In rural areas People are Dependent on Agriculture. If crop fails they have nothing to do that year and this will cause hunger problem and money problem.

(4) Slow Growth of Industrialisation:-

• In rural Areas Industrial growth are slow. If their are some Industries, their are lack of money, work and etc. Small Scale Industries are main reason.

(5) Less Savings and Investment:-

• Investment depends on savings. Savings are inadequate. Due to shortage of savings and investment, opportunities of employment have not been created.
