Evaporation refers to the surface of a body of liquid turning into gas, such as a drop of water on the concrete turning into a gas on a hot day.

Boiling, on the other hand, is characterized by bubbles of saturated vapor forming in the liquid phase.

The two types of vapourization are:

EVAPORATION & BOILING

1)➡Evaporation involves the change of the phase of an element from liquid to gas, at temperatures lower than its boiling point, at a given pressure.

➡Evaporation takes place at the surface of a liquid, such as a puddle drying up.

2)➡Boiling involves a change of phase from liquid to gas at a temperature higher than its boiling point.

➡Boiling takes place below the surface of a liquid and causes bubbling, like a pot of water on a hot stove.
