a) Electrolysis

b) Decomposition reaction

c) Decomposition reaction

Explanation:

  • Electrolysis of water is a chemical reaction in which electrical energy is passes from water to dissociate the oxygen and hydrogen molecule  in the water. This process is also known as the electrochemical water splitting . When we put a anode and a cathode rod in the water and attach the negative end and positive end with the cell or battery then we can see reduction reaction at anode and oxidation reaction at cathode .
  • When calcium carbonate gets heated it will decompose into calcium oxide (quick lime) and carbon dioxide .

        CaCO3 (s)→ heat→ CaO (s) + CO2 (g)

  • When silver bromide is exposed to sunlight it get decomposed into  silver metal and bromine gas is liberated .

          2AgBr (s) → 2Ag (s) + Br2 (g)
