Presbyopia

Presbyopia is a condition where due to the loss of elasticity of the lens of the eye, one is not able to focus on things clearly. This condition is generally suffered by people who are aged or middle-aged.

SYMPTOMS :-

  • Holding readable objects far from the eye in order to focus on the words written. It can be newspaper, books, mobile phones etc.
  • Headaches, eye strain, fatigue.
  • Reading things in bright light so that you can focus easily on the written matter.

Presbyopia is normal for the people who are ageing. But if you suffer from it at an early age, then it is called Pre-Mature Presbyopia.

TREATMENTS :-

  • Consult a doctor or an eye specialist so that he/she can prescribe you lenses or glasses according to your situation.
  • Surgical options are also available for treating presbyopia, if you cannot wear glasses or lenses. Consult a doctor first so that you are guided for the right surgical method.
