The type of plant tissue that has thin walled cells with 12-14 sides and retain the ability of division at maturity are called the Meristematic tissues.

They consist of a group of immature cells which remains in a  continuous state of division. These cells might be rounded , oval or polygonal in  structure  and  are always living and thin-walled. These cells do not poses inter-cellular spaces. .
