Similarly, when we intake food like rice,lollipops, sweet potato the starch present in the food breaks down into simple sugar like glucose inside our body, similarly protein from food breaks down into amino acids.

The type of reaction that takes place during the process of digestion of food is "Decomposition reaction " . In this reaction various different chemical secretion and enzymes get breakdown by the gut wall or we can say breakdown of chemical secretion and enzymes in simple forms .
