Answer:

there are two types of seasonal agriculture

1) rabi crops : the crops which are sown in the rainy season . it is from June to September.

ex are paddy, maize ,soya bean, groundnut and cotton. etc

2)kharif crops: the crop grown in the winter season. it is from October to March.ex are wheat, gram ,pea ,mustard and linseed.

There are basically 3 types of seasonal crops grown in India-

  1. Rabi crops
  2. kharif crops
  3. Zaid crops
  • Rabi crops are grown in winter season (October - March) which includes crops like wheat , barely, oats, pulses etc.
  • Kharif crops are grown in mansoon season (July -october) ,they need a lot of water and include crops like - tea, coffee,rubber, soyabean, cotton etc.
  • zaid crops are grown between Rabi and kharif crops (March-June) . They are mostly vegetables and seasonal fruits
