Adult humans have four types of teeth

  • Incisors :

\bigstar The eight teeth which are in the front are incisors. There are four incisors in each jaw. They help in cutting the food

  • Canines :

\bigstar The teeth on either side of the incisors are canines. Each jaw have 2 canines. They helo in tearing the food.

  • Premolars :

\bigstar They are present next to the canines. Each jaw have 4 premolars. They help in grinding the food.

  • Molars :

\bigstar They are present at the end of the jaw that is next to the premolars. Each jaw have 6 Molars.

When we see half of the upper jaw and lower jaw, 2 incisors, 1 canine, 2 premolars and 3 molars are present.

The adult human has 32 permanent teeths.
