Various fractions obtained during the fractional distillation (refining) of petroleum (or crude oil) are given. The various products obtained during the fractional distillation (refining) of petroleum (or crude oil) can be divided into two categories viz., Petroleum products used as fuels: Petroleum gas (or liquefied Petroleum gas), petrol (gasoline), kerosene, diesel, fuel oil. Petroleum products not used as fuels: Petroleum ether, Lubricating oil, Greases, Petroleum jelly, paraffin wax, pitch.

2.petrol or gasoline.

3. diesel.

4.kerosene.

5.fuel oil.

6.lubricating oil.

lpg is liquefied petroleum gas which mainly contains butane (along with small amount of propane and ethane.) lpg is obtained from fractional distillation of petroleum and also natural gas.
