The process of digestion starts as we take food in the mouth. our teeth chew it and then it moves towards the oesophagus ( food canal )

the food canal carries it to the stomach. as it enters into stomach, it is maxed with dilute hydrochloric acid and enzymes. hydrochloric acid helps to kill the germs present in the food.

Then it moves to the intestines. there the useful parts of the food are absorbed. the useless parts like roughages are sent to the anus.
