Explanation:

Force is a physical cause that can change the state of motion or the dimensions of an object. There are two types of forces: Contact and non-contact forces.

A non-contact force is a force which acts on an object without coming physically in contact with it. The most familiar example of a non-contact force is gravity. Two magnets placed close to each other also exhibit non-contact force.

In contrast a contact force is a force applied to a body by another body that is in contact with it, like the wind.
