The inferior and superior vena cavabring oxygen-poor blood from thebody into the right atrium. The pulmonary artery channels oxygen-poor blood from the right ventricle into the lungs, where oxygen enters the bloodstream. The pulmonaryveins bring oxygen-rich blood to theleft atrium.
