Narmada: It originates from Mount Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh. As it flows down the hill, it is trapped in a rift valley between the Vindhya and the Satpura muntain ranges which leads it to the west towards Gujarat, were it drains into the Gulf of Khambat.
