There are various wild animals in our forests. Animals are divided in to 6 basic categories namely:


Invertebrates:


These are animals that are devoid of Vertebral Column. Such as Insects, Arachnids, Mollusks, Crustaceans etc  


Fish:


These are aquatic animals that possess gills. Such as American sole, Albacore, Salmon etc


Amphibians:


These are animals that are cold blooded and do not have scales. They are vertebrates and they live on land and water both, for instance Frog, Salamander, Toads etc


Reptiles:


Reptiles are vertebrates that are cold blooded but unlike amphibians, they do have scales on their skin, such as Snakes, Turtles, Lizards, Dinosaurs, Chameleons etc.


Birds:


Birds are an animal that is warm blooded, is covered in feathers, lay eggs and are bipedal such as Parrot, Humming Birds, Eagles etc.



Mammals:


Mammals are vertebrates that are warm blooded, have hair on their body and have mammary glands to fed their young such as Humans, Dogs, whales etc.
