Hi thank you for asking the question
jet stream is a phenomena which is caused due to atmospheric heating and solar radiation. these jet stream winds reach India during the month of June- July. These winds are useful for the process of aviation and in Hawaii act as a barrier again the hurricanes.
if these jet winds were absent India would have to face heavy rain that can cause damage to the areas it hit
Hope this answer helps you

The wind that enters India in June - July due to the Coriolis Force is known as the jet stream. It originates from the Northern Hemisphere and blows southwards. Due to the Coriolis Force, the wind gets deflected to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere.

If the Coriolis Force deflected the wind in the reverse direction, there would be a drastic change to India’s climate. This will in turn influence weather patterns and affect the ocean current movement. It will also alter the direction of rotation of hurricanes.
