Here are the names of world's top five mass extinctions :

• Ordovician - Silurian – 450 million years ago
• Late Devonian – 365 million years ago
• End Permain ( Permian-Triassic ) – 250 million years ago
• ,Triassic - Jurassic – 200 million years ago
• Cretaceous - Paleogene ( KT extinction event ) – 66 million years ago

The worst of all these violent extinctions are : End Permian ( Permian - Triassic ) , this extinction event wiped out all living species on earth about 99 % of all life . this extinction event also has a nickname known as – The Great Dying .

Now What is the term Extinction ?

Extinction is the termination of a kind of organisms which is generally considered to be the death of the last individual species.

Now , humanity are also under 6th extinction event. known as 'Holocene Extinction'

Scientists gave a new name of this ' Human Era' . Known as ' Anthropocene' , this era is the last glacial age , in which all the glaciers present in the Earth will go all melt , and finally the glacial age overs. which now this — Anthropocene will last more 10, 000 years from our present .

Humans are the only social beings, which killing and hunting all species for only money. At this rate , about more than 20,000 of all living species are gone extinction. some of the animals name under 6th extinction are :

1. Dodo - is an extinct flight less bird that was endemic to the island of Mauritius, east of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. Dodo is the most recent extinction species of this Holocene extinction, it was last observed in the late 18th century.
2. The Golden Toad - is an extinct species of true toad that was once abundant in a small high-altitude region of about 4 sq kms. in an area north of the city of MonteVerde , Costa Rica . It was endemic due to elfin cloud forest.
