Elements having seven electrons in their outermost are :- Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine. These elements in Modern Periodic Table comes in Group 17(Halo group) and are known as Halogen elements.

Their non-metallic(electronegative) characters decreases while going down in the Periodic Table and Atomic size of atoms increases while going down in a group.
