1. Simple
a. Parenchyma - soft parts of the plant such as cortex and pith
b. Collenchyma - in the leaf stalks, below the epidermis etc
c. Sclerenchyma - in the leaf veins, hard coverings of the seeds and can also be found surrounding the vascular bundle.
2. Complex
a. Xylem - has xylem parenchyma, xylem fibres, trachieds, and vessels
b. Phloem - has sieve tubes, sieve plates, fibres, parenchyma and companion cells
3.Protective
a. Epidermis - is the outer layer of the plant body. Protects all parts.
b. Cork - is light and does not catch fire easily. So,they are used as insulators and shock absorbers.
Hope this helps.
