Answer:

the three kinds of cells in blood are:-

  1. white blood cells (WBC)
  2. Red blood cells (RBC)
  3. platelets

Explanation:

White blood cells :-

  1. these are also known as leucocytes and are relatively less in number as compared to other cells.
  2. they have nucleus and are white because they lack a red colour pigment called haemoglobin.
  3. There are divided into granulocytes and agranulocytes.
  4. granulocytes contain neutrophil, eosinophil and basophil
  5. agranulocytes contains lymphocytes and monocytes.
  6. White blood cells have a life span of weeks or months

Red blood cells:-

  1. these are biconcave disc like structure and are present about 5million per cubic mm of blood.
  2. they do no have nucleus.
  3. they have a life span of 120 days.
  4. they are formed in bone marrow and destroyed in spleen.
  5. they contain a red colour respiratory pigment known as haemoglobin which carries oxygen.
  6. RBC also known as erthyrocytes.

platelets:-

  1. these are also known as thrombocytes
  2. it is primarily responsible for clotting of blood
  3. it has clotting factors in inactive form.

Blood has three types of cells:

Explanation: White blood cells (WBC), red blood cells (RBC), and platelets are all types of blood cells.

Cells of the white blood:

  • These cells, also known as leucocytes, are smaller than other cells and have a lower quantity of them.
  • They lack the red pigment haemoglobin and contain a nucleus.
  • Granulocytes and agranulocytes are the two types of cells that make up the immune system.
  • Neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils make up granulocytes.
  • Lymphocytes and monocytes are included in the agranulocytes category.
  • The life expectancy of white blood cells is weeks or months.

Cells of the blood:

  • These biconcave disc-like structures are found in around 5 million per cubic millimetre of blood.
  • There is no nucleus in them.
  • They live for 120 days on average.
  • They develop in the bone marrow and die in the spleen.
  • Haemoglobin, a red-colored respiratory pigment that transports oxygen, is found in them.
  • Erthyrocytes are a kind of RBC.

platelets:-

  • These cells, also called thrombocytes, are principally responsible for blood clotting and contain dormant clotting components.
