The three pairs of salivary glands found in human beings are as given below :
→ PAROTID GLAND
→ SUB- MANDIBULAR / SUB-MAXILLARY GLAND
→SUB-LINGUAL GLAND

⊕ PAROTID GLAND :
→ It is also known as " stenson's duct ".
→ largest gland.
→ secretion : serous (watery) + amylase.
→open near upper second molar in vestibule.

⊕ SUB-MANDIBULAR /SUB-MAXILLARY :
→ Also known as " wharton's duct ''.
→ longest gland .
→ secretion : serous +mucus + amylase.
→ open lateral to franulum.

⊕ SUB-LINGUAL GLAND :
→ Also known as " duct of revinus / bartholin's gland ".
→secretion : mucus + no enzyme .
