- Mixed cropping:
In this type of cropping two or more crops can be cultivated at the same land. Planting more than two crops so this is called Mixed cropping. The two seeds are mixed and then it is cultivated in the land. The crop failure was reduced by this process.
Example: Wheat + Gram, Wheat + Mustard, Groundnut + Sunflower .
- Inter cropping:
In this type of cropping the crops are cultivated by certain row or pattern is called Inter cropping. It increases the productivity of the crops in the per unit area.
Example: Soyabean + Maize, Finger millet + Cowpea .
- Crop rotation:
In this type of cropping the crops are cultivated in the same land by the preplanned succession.
Example: Maize-Mustard, Rice-Wheat,Maize-Mustard-Sugarcane-Fenugreek, Maize-Potato- Sugarcane-Peas.
