Answers
The three radical nationalist are -
1. Bal Gangadhar Tilak
2. Lal Bahadur Shastri
3. Bepin Chandra Pal
The moderates were the early Congress men who led the Indian National Congress from 1885 to 1905.
They were aware of the might of the British rule in India and wanted to protect the youth of India from the batons and guns of British.
They resorted to peaceful means and moderate methods of appeasement like petitioning, publishing pamphlets, taking out processions etc.
They published newspapers, wrote articles, and showed how British rule was leading to the economic ruin of the country.
They criticised British rule in their speeches and sent representatives to different parts of the country to mobilise public opinion.
Whereas the radical nationalists were the leaders of a sturdy nationalist movement who adopted the methods like passive resistance, boycott and swadeshi.
They believed that for any success, boldness was required.
They stood for complete Swaraj.
They encouraged radical methods in politics, such as boycott of British goods, government services and titles. They broadened the social base of the movement.
