Answer:- jhumming or shifting agriculture is the method of farming in which there is continuous shifting from one clearing in the forest to the other due to loss of soil fertilty.

It is mainly practiced in the backward areas by tribal people who have little notion of the environment and scientific ways of farming, for example:- north-east hill states, madya pradesh, chattisgarh and jharkhand.
