Bengal, Awadh and Hyderabad are the three succession states developed during 18th century after the decline of the Mughal rule.

In Mughals period, the successors of Aurengazed were weak and this was the main cause for the downfall of Mughals and the flourshing of the new religious states.

  • Murshid Quli Khan was the governor of the Bengal state when the Mughal control was weak. He holded the power of nazim and diwan offices.
  • In 1720s, Saadat Khan was the Governor of Awadh region.
  • Chin Qulich Khan founded the kingdom of Hyderabad in 1724 and took over Mughals.
