parenchyma- packing tissue, storage of food,in fleshy stems and leaves it serves as water storage tissue,forms framework of plant organs like cortex or pith. found in roots stem leaves frlowers and fruits . it is the most widely distributed tissue in plants.

collenchyma-provide flexibility in plant to prevent breaking.provides mechanical strength,chloroplast containing collenchyma are responsible for photosynthesis.found in petioles,leaves but absent in monocot stems,roots and leaves.

sclerenchyma-provide mechanical strength.this is the only main function.found in bark of trees.
