Azotobacter and Blue green algae are two among the nitrogen fixing bacteria .They are present in soil and invade the root hair of host plants.

Microorganisms are capable for fixing atmospheric nitrogen into useful forms.

Two such bacteria are-:

•Cyanobacteria or blue green algae.
•Azotobacter.

These are present in the soil.
